Drunken Taxi

Me and my gf have decided to go on a night out on the booze over the August bank holiday weekend, and are going to the Rembrantplein on a Saturday night to get intoxicated, as it's my birthday.

I don't like using taxis in Amsterdam, infact I have never used one.

However, she is insisting we get one home, because she wants to get very drunk.

How much would a taxi from the Rembrantplein to the Bulldog Hotel be, or would they even do it because it's such a short distance?

Last time I checked, the minimum fare for a taxi was €7,50. That already includes the first 2 km and that is how they protect themselves against very short trips.

I still don't understand where the fun is in getting drunk ;-)

Taxi drivers won't take drunks in case they puke in the car. Makes sense really
