Accomodation and Destination Suggestions needed - Oct 4-9th

Hey peeps,

Thank god there's a website out there for us normal people who like to smoke pot and travel.

I am heading to AMS October 4th-9th, and I have a few things I'm looking for advice on.

#1: 420 Friendly Accomodation, 3 nights in central AMS, and 2 Nights outside(was thinking Harlem, Eindoven, Ultrecht, The hague etc... but I am totally open) I am looking for places that aren't specifically pushing the party scene, but moreover a chill place to kick back, meet people and smoke weed. Hostels, B&B's and hotels or any other sorts of lodging will be considered. I am attempting to keep it under 100EU a night, but I am flexible.

One thing to mention: I have stayed at Flying Pig Uptown and Downtown, but I am not interested again.

#2: 420 Friendly Events, Can't seem to find any during that time. Any thoughts?

#3: Outside of Amsterdam, (this sorta ties into my hotels question), looking for somewhere cool where I can still embrace the ganja, but also has some sort of interesting point to go and see.



Basically I'm easy, very laid back. 29 years old, so I'm not a kid, but I'm not super old either. Looking for a good place to meet up with people.

Would love some ideas... throw some my way!!!

I tried to ask the same question on Lonely Planet's Forum, but they were all caught up on the Term "420 Friendly" and turned out to be a bunch of trolls who thought it was there responsibility to inform me of the impact that weed has negatively on the people of Amsterdam.

Something tells me you folks will be super chill about it lol

First of all welcome to the forum!

Great 1st post by the way. I like your use of the term '420 friendly.'

Some good questions too. '420 events' for example. My suggestion would be to make your own. A meet then an activity. For me it might be wandering around the '9 streets' area for antique bargains or exploring the city via a bike and no map method randomly stopping at places that seem interesting or familiar!

Your preferences may differ of course
