Last Minute Trip!

Post by staggerlee »

hi everyone! my name is Jon and im a first time poster here! i just got my vacation time approved and im heading over to Amsterdam from Sept 21 - 27 and have been looking everywhere and im glad i found this messageboard! my friend and i are looking for hostels that are close to the center, but are also weed friendly.

what places have people stayed at recently that have been good? we are willing to crash with other people, but if we can we would like a separate room.

any help would be awesome because we want to get this trip booked ASAP, but dont want to jump the gun and book a place that we wont enjoy staying at!

thanks everyone!!

Can't get more central than the Flying Pig Uptown great Hostel - about halfway between Centraal Station and Dam Square, I normally use http://www.hostelworld.com

Might be a problem getting the space you want there this late booking though.

yea i figured that would be the case, but luckily there is still a lot available! ive found a few sites where they list if they are cannabis friendly or not so thats helped narrow the search down. just hoping to get a few hands on reviews from people within the next few days before we make a final decision.

You really cannot go wrong with the Hotel Abba , comfortable and "relaxed" - very good value for money and outside the Centrum madness. Great breakfast included and "laissez faire" attitude. Stayed one night in Feb - I had lost the "map" and the reception had no qualms in printing one off and giving some good coffee shop advice .....(laughed when I came back well relaxed !)

PUNT!

Ask yourself...where do you want to be, closer to the RLD and Centrum, or a little further out, just south of the Centrum, closer to Leideseplein, Vondelpark, etc?

Do you want to stay above a coffeeshop, or a grocery store?

TEN SECONDS...WHADDAYAGONNADO?!?!?

If you're looking for someone to tell you to book Voyagers...

BOOK VOYAGERS ALREADY

At least you won't regret NOT booking Voyagers.

Btw, I have not stayed at Voyagers and have no affiliation with said establishment.
