Next month I'll be in amsterdam with some friends of mine and was wondering what indian restaurants you guy's would recomend. I'm dying for a good curry as the indian restaurants here in south florida aren't that great. I've done some searching online and found about a dozen or so but all of them have very few reviews. Any info would be helpful.

Try Surya or Balti House in De Pijp. The Netherlands is more well known for their Indonesian food than Indian, so have a look at Long Pura near Westerkerk.

damn im gonna have to try that indonesian place. always liked s.e. asian curry better than the indian curry(not to say i dislike indian curry)

Balraj on Harlemmerstraat is a Boner recommendation that is always good.

Whenever we have been there, it is filled with locals and not tourists! (To me that is always a good sign as restaurants that survive on tourists are not looking for return business)

Agreed. I visited the koh -i - noor opposite the Westerkerk and it was very good. Another I enjoyed was Purna on the Reestraat. The butter chicken was superb. Worth a visit.
