I'm sure locals get sick of hearing people say they are coming to heaven.... 
I lived in a "touristy" area in Southern Ca for years and I know how we laughed, when tourists acted goofy. They'd say stuff like," Man, you live in paradise". My response was usually, "Hey I go to work and pay my bills just like everyone else.... and go on Vacation where you live!"... 
I mean no disrespect or saying anyone is a goofy tourist,... just stoned and thought about it... Peace
