Cheers , I should add that this is a pre-booked price , check their site they have set/pre-booked prices to go to loads of destinations

So booked up with this firm again , 3 people, bag each , wheelchair, - airport -Brouwersgracht - airport , €72 return

I'm going to Amsterdam for the first time in july, we're 2 guys and will be staying in an apartment in Oud-West area.
We'll be landing in Schiphol late night and want to get to the apartment as soon as possible because we are already arriving later than the usual check-in for the apartment, so don't really want to experiment with trains and trams, get lost and drive the landlord crazy.

So even it's expensive we've decided that our best and quickest option is taking a taxi.
Does anyone have any experience with "Taxi Electric" ? (http://www.taxielectric.nl/schiphol-air ... hol-prices)

They offer a fixed price of 35euros for the out-west area if you book in advance but around 27euros if you call them last minute when you're picking up your luggage at the airport.
Do these prices look fair to you ? Is there a better/cheaper taxi company that you would recomend ? And if anyone has used Taxi Electric, do you know how long we'd have to wait for a car to pick us up if we were to call them at the airport and save about 8euros(a gram of something decent maybe if you wanna look at it that way) instead of booking in advance.

Used them lay year and they are fine. I booked in advance so can't comment on h how long your wait will be. Another option is the 197 bus to the Leidseplein and then a few euros taxi to your hotel. It takes about 30 minutes which is about what a taxi will take.

From airport like most international cities , taxis have a fix price from / to airport . Last time I checked was 37-38 € !
