Looks like new news. As Brian Vicente asks in the article, have the Americas reached a tipping point with their failed drug war ? There is still a lot of opposition though so celebturation could be a touch premature yet.

Yes us US Americans have reached the tipping point, we are waiting for our law makers to start hearing us. 18 states and DC have medical and now two have legalized it.

The same people who go to Jamaica (another third world country) because a tourist area will pop up with everything a tourist could want (if not already there!) A quick Google search tells me they have some of the nicest beaches in South America. I know I would consider it.

Yea I agree. Just because it's not a rich country doesn't mean it has nothing to offer. The availability of legal weed might push some people into going but not if the country has nothing going for it. I wouldn't go to Amsterdam if it wasn't a great city to begin with. As somebody who doesn't drink, a holiday isn't a holiday if I have to go with out green but I still wouldn't go somewhere just because I'm guaranteed to get it.

People visit poor countries all the time whether you can get weed or not because they're great places so I don't really see the point being made. Maybe some people need to go to these countries to open their minds a bit, they really are amazing. Legal weed is a great added bonus though!

Jamaica is at least COOL.... rasta... reggae.... etc. and has all inclusive resorts.
