Remember her quote? "when this is life, I don't want to live". That was heart breaking.

Quite Simply Carla was just a lovely lady with a big heart of gold. She was so good to me and that I'll never forget. A new bright star shines down on us.
RIP Mrs xx

I've been in contact with Jim on Facebook but haven't heard from him for a couple of days. I will share Jim's last written update Carla Update :
There is no good news to report. She has been unresponsive for the last few days. Her heart still beats, her lungs still pump air, but the light in her eyes has gone out. Waiting is now all we have. They will continue to treat the infection, but with little hope. If her heart stops, we will not attempt to restart it. If she stops breathing, we will not intubate. She would not want us to do that. All of my hard decisions have been made. She has already left us, her body is just lagging behind.
I fear his silence other than the posting of many photos is a statement in itself.
Love and peace to you Jim and rest peacefully Carla, my dear friend.

I never met Carla, but we were facebook friends. From what i have read in this thread and elsewhere, she had a profound impact on those she met. Carla sounds like she could light up a room, and put a smile on everyone. Wish i had a chance to meet her, i think those that have are very lucky.
Rest peacefully Carla.

nice thoughts twich ...
Ripple
If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine
And my tunes were played on the harp unstrung,
Would you hear my voice come thru the music,
Would you hold it near as it were your own?
It's a hand-me-down, the thoughts are broken,
Perhaps they're better left unsung.
I don't know, don't really care
Let there be songs to fill the air.
Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty,
If your cup is full may it be again,
Let it be known there is a fountain,
That was not made by the hands of men.
There is a road, no simple highway,
Between the dawn and the dark of night,
And if you go no one may follow,
That path is for your steps alone.
Ripple in still water,
When there is no pebble tossed,
Nor wind to blow.
You who choose to lead must follow
But if you fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then whos to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home.
La dee da da da, la da da da da, da da da, da da, da da da da da
La da da da, la da da, da da, la da da da, la da, da da.
The annual 420 cam wave will have to be dedicated in her honour "The Cattales 420 memorial"
Peace

Cat said she put that track on the playlist at her Dads funeral, you remembered too .

I never had the pleasure of meeting Cat, although I always thought if I did happen to bump into Cat over in Amsterdam I'd have spent all day engrossed in conversation with her and smiling from ear to ear.
Always happy to help and I'm certain Cat will be greatly missed on this forum and in person.....and for that I'm sure the Lord has provided Cat with that Mercedes Benz....
