Sounds like the gun control plan is working somewhat in reverse, atm.

Just saw a news story about Fontana High School in California, buying 15 AR-15's to have locked up on campus, for police to use in case something stupid ever happens at the school. Apparently, the police can't be trusted to mind these deadly weapons. What a hoot.

I don't even know what to think about this. Are they fucking crazy?!?!?

What a temptation...for just about anyone...teacher, student, or professional thief. What a prize, if you could pull it off. Schools are not all that secure

This appears to be some questionable Cali decision making, imo.

Who will use the weapons in case of an attack, the teachers or the students? Oh right, the police, but first they might have to fight to get to the weapons. Stupid!
Is there a training program for all those who might have to fire the weapons? No, then it's spray and pray eh? Stupid!
As stated, quite the temptation. Someone with my background could "easily" take these weapons from their "secure" location.
What I see in the future is that this school will be broken in to, the weapons stolen, and used against the police and civilians.
The critics and knee jerks will blame the Obama Administration, then demand that MORE guns be placed in schools by way of armed guards guarding the weapons cache.
These idiots are putting the final pieces together of an Orwellian setting.
Stupid is as stupid does...
They (fill in the blank) scream freedom yet continue to preach control. Got to love extremism...not!

Agreed. The gun lobby is very strong. You have US House Reps on TV regurgitating word for word gun lobby propaganda for one reason only. They are being paid handsomely to do so.

If the MJ lobby (who is that exactly) played the game and paid off the right people. If there is enough money, jobs, power at stake. If a country has enough to gain from MJ then it can happen.

I make the comparison because MJ is a totally harmless substance and guns are lethal. If an alien came to this planet and landed in Texas he'd think we were all crazy. Go to jail for weed but you can buy a lethal killing machine openly and easily.

300 million guns in the USA in private hands can only end badly. Putting them in schools! Insanity.

The gun lobby is very strong... for those who might not know, they include contractors who make weapon systems for the military.
Billions of dollars are at stake, so yeah, the gun lobby is very powerful.
300 million guns in the US, nearly enough for every man, woman, and child.
Where is my feeling of security? Right here in Germany.

First they came.........................................armed guards and weapons caches in schools.
Bizarre or Bizarro?

For such worldly cultured people there are lots of preconceptions, and blind ignorance here. The reality is those in the north or blue states since we all love being divided so much ...talk of peace, yet are always the most consistently violent. In the south those people speak for war and violence, but are the most consistently peaceful. Maybe I am wrong....but I am from the north and to this day the most violent place I have ever been was a state run high school. Truly amazing.....

Has everyone else seen the reports coming in from coroner office no AR was used? Not saying its good news or anything just pointing out the deception...

The only country to officially describe itself as a confederation? Switzerland. Do they get stuck with a negative stigma in Europe like southerns do here in USA because of preconceptions? I will venture and guess no.... When people speak ill of the south their values really aren't that different than the Switzerland confederation....which also is a nation where every citizen has or owns a gun in fact i beileve their government issues it to them?

Which also has the highest firearm homicide rate in Europe. Coincidence ? maybe. It's not a particularly violent country at street level, they run a pretty tight ship. one might suggest that the ability to grab a gun when you're pissed off might have some influence on it; but of developed countries the poor old USA is nearly off the scale. :(

But the US is off the scale, why is that ? are you just a bunch of ex gunslingers and cowboys who live in fear of each other. A gun is only any use if it's in your hand with your finger on the trigger. Anyway what do I care shoot the crap out of each other if you want, just try to keep the kids out of the L.O.F. :|.

Yes, I suspect the kool kids do a lot of behind-the-back yakking on FB. Wouldn't know about that, as I'm anti-FB.
