Re: Fooking crystal ball...bitch-ass airline lackey!!!
There's been a slight drop in prices since Monday, about 20 dollars. Not much, but hopefully a sign of something better soon. I'm not waiting much longer regardless.

The likely hood of flights going down now that there will be an increased demand is slim to none. Yes you might see a $20 - $30 price drop but its usually only for a day if that. As Uncle Ron mentioned, Dusseldorf is a great option. It's only a couple of hours by the ICE between the two cities. And if you book early enough those tickets can be had for €19 one way.
Are you stoned? Like a gravel road bitch, like a gravel road!

I think you're right about the unlikelihood of a drop in airfare. (I'm going in May, so I'll miss 4:20.) I thought about the option you guys suggested, mainly because it gives one the chance to visit another European city--kind of a big deal for us living in the other hemisphere. Sadly, the money saved by flying in and out of Dusseldorf from the US for me isn't very much by the time you add in the expenses of getting to and from Amsterdam from that German city (even with that competitive bus fare you've provided). The idea of visiting Bonn and especially nearby Cologne is quite appealing though. I've only been to Germany once (Berlin, last year, for five days), so you may have given me a travel idea even if I don't save any money.

We in the States are in the same hemisphere as Europe, but we know what you mean.mafufero wrote:...kind of a big deal for us living in the other hemisphere.
The ICE fare quoted is for a train, which is an even better (and faster) deal.mafufero wrote:(even with that competitive bus fare you've provided).
Btw, I've already pulled the trigger, Monday. Couldn't stand it anymore.

Apologies. I never consider east/west, always north/south. I guess everyone now knows how I cuts my limes.mafufero wrote:Nimrod wrote:We in the States are in the same hemisphere as Europe, but we know what you mean.mafufero wrote:...kind of a big deal for us living in the other hemisphere.![]()
