Still over $1,000. Anything under a grand will seem like a deal.
Kinda picky, so I'm waiting, hopefully, for my flight to drop in price.
Maybe I should just jump now, and get all the suspense over with.

Are you talking about for April? I'd wait, but it requires nerves- about 6 weeks out is usually when the price will drop. You know, until that time they don't.

CLE>AMS, preferably on United thru IAD. Gotta have me a Five Guys cheese burger before takeoff.
@geekymonkey - that's the way it USED to be...not so much like that anymore. Earlier is better. Saw prices under a grand sometime in Nov or Dec.

My experience has been the following: In 2011, airfare was its lowest in the week after Christmas 2010, at least from my desitination. This was for a July 2011 trip to Ireland and Amsterdam. In 2012, I found the lowest airfare about eight months out. I got an open-jaw ticket from Little Rock to London (spent 9 days there), and a return from Amsterdam to Little Rock--total price was 700US.
The US airport I will avoid at all costs: Newark. That airport is awful. Sometimes the trams that link the terminals don't even work.
For this year, I've noticed that the prices fell about 60 dollars a week or so ago. It's 1000 roundtrip to Amsterdam for May from my neck of the woods. But I'm still waiting. I'll wait until mid-February--somewhat anxiously.
Here is a page with some tips, maybe helpful, maybe not:

Kayak is suggesting that prices will likely drop again in the next week or so on flights from the US to the Netherlands in the spring season, so maybe waiting a little bit longer is wise.
