Quick Report 18 January 2013

Post by Lafe »

Landed about noon, my mate picked us up @ Schiphol and we went directly to Yanks in Zandvoort. A quick score there yielded some Super Polm and Strawberry Haze. Nothing particularly special, but we managed to spend 1.5 hours before checking into the Doubletree around 16:00.

Of course Voyagers is directly across the street so we popped in, bought 4 grams of various strains, then got beer and snacks @ Batavia. Then off to Nes, 420, back to Batavia for pea soup for dinner, a few beers then asleep by midnight.

Today we will do an all-day De Pijp crawl.

Twice now we have stopped @ Yanks. Normally one can't check into hotels until 14:00-15:00, so we enjoy passing some time by the sea.

I think we will start @ Siberie, then hop a tram to De Pijp and proceed. Many thanks to Hasj and others who have shared De Pijp crawl maps.

Looks like verything is under control. Play on. How many De Pijp shops did you end up hitting? I think we did about 8 in the end last Summer.

Utopia for starters, then probably De Graal and work our way back east. Want to visit Papillon, for sure.

Stan - we will be South @ 13:00. Check your PMs.

Hi Lafe,

After careful consideration, I have concluded that you visited Zandvoort, solely or in part, in an attempt to acquire the elusive Chocomel mugs from HEMA that you so desire. :)

Am I wrong?

Cheers and enjoy de Pijp!

See you in April.

See you in April.
In fact, on a previous visit I was given a Yanks coffee mug (very cool) by the bartender.
I love Yanks, could sit there all afternoon.

Gapie - We depart Tuesday.

Brief rundown of yesterday's activities:

11:00 Utopia - Silver Bubble.

Rookies, for coffee and to see friends.

de Kabouter - Nature's Best (SSHxAmnesia). I was unaware of the block of hookers between Kabouter and de Graal.

de Graal - Polm

Lunch by Albert Cuyp market.

Media - Hindu Kush.

By this time were completely knackered.

Tram to Happy People and Brouwerij 't Ij.

Batavia

Nes

Shoarma on Haarlemmerstraat.

Barney's Uptown - window seats !!!

Batavia.

Hotel for Iceolator, beer and Comedy Central.

zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Off to Dappermarkt today, then to Haarlem.

That's the plan, anyway.

It's fucking cold, -3 C / 25 F, 15-20 MPH wind. It would be OK without the wind.
