Craigslist Apartments

Post by BigDanHaze »

Alright guys going dam for 420 celebrations and usual apartment is already rented and Voyagers also full..Has anyone ever rented an apartment in Amsterdam through craigslist? I found a few who arent asking for a deposit or anything before arrival just dont wanna take a chance at getting "jacked" when I arrive with euros in hand for the rental..Any experiences you can share would be appreciated.

I got lucky with an incident-free Craigslist rental in 2009.

You takes your chances...

Why not just try the usual apartment rental sites?
Think it would be safer than Craig's list -

(I tend to be a bit mistrusting after spending time on this planet)

Those places are way too high but thanks for the links guys. Already costing me 1100 for airfare so trying to stay cheap always payed less than 70e a night every other trip. Would like something in the 60-70 e a night range. Noticed several in that range on Craigslist and was just hoping some members had some positive experiences with CL.
Thanks,

Never used Craigslist, bu there are some places in your price range on airbnb. I've booked a couple of places for a trip in May.
Next trip: November 2013

Never used CL myself. Don't want sound pessimistic and hope you find your place but it's hard for that price is that period. this a really really cheap apt but very small too in de pijp https://www.airbnb.it/rooms/527970 . This one is better and more central around 70e a night https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/301119 Good luck

Apprecciate all the replies and links guys, thanks.
I'm only going for 7-8 nights and solo this time so dont really need a super comfortable apartment just something decent, safe, and clean with wifi. I was even thinking of using Abba or Old Quarter...
Have used an apartment last 5 years so definatley prefer it but then again a hotel room may force me too get out a little more instead of holing up and smoking up in the apartment...
