Be in a safe and relaxing place when you smoke and more importantly when it kicks in. Be well rested, fed and hydrated. Be in a good, cheerful frame of mind. Stay positive.

You can break every one of the above guidelines and still have a great time but isn't it clever to rig the game in your favor so a good time is more likely?

Physical: Fruit juice. Something with plenty of sugar. Splash some cold water on the face to 'snap out of it.' Sometimes works.

Mental: Meditation. Think of the nice safe place. Imagine yourself reclining under a tree on a breezy summers afternoon. Music. Distractions to fill your mind. Whatever does it for you.
