Amsterdam Trip Report from December 2012 with pics

Hello everybody,
this will be my first trip-report and i hope you guys enjoy it,
so please be easy with me if I make any major mistake

We been to amsterdam from 25th dec to 30th dec 2012.

so our trip started with an early flight to schiphol and we arrived
at our hotel just in the right time to check in.
we decided on staying in the hemp hotel because i been there several times befor and i like the atmosphere and the best ever breakfast chocolate muffins
made by my german bartender homie banta!
hes such a kind guy and always knows how to take care of the guests.

two of my guys have never been to the dam but another friend of mine and I have, so they were all hyped on the first time beeing there.

we dropped the luggage and set of to the nearest coffeshop, which happened
to be the barney‘s lounge. once we were there, we soon got notice of the loose dutch opening hours during christmas days.

We quickly rolled along the canals into the city where I knew we would
find a good CS for this „first time experience“ i guess everybody knows.

the shop my homies and I decided to go was Basjoe,
I really like the atmosphere and the friendly asian girl behind the counter
is always playing some fresh tunes. Unfortunately i never got to experience
the old basjoe but they actually got some seriously good strains in the menu.

I took pics of some bud with my DSLR here and then when i was not
hitting a bong. :D :D :D
but after day 3 I was pretty faded and tired of taking all those pics.

so here is what came out

Day 1

Basjoe:

as said, the BT Lady was nice and the hot chocolate was amazing.

buys:

Champagne Haze 16E/g : smooth, connoseiur sativa, top shelf

Image

we also bought:

OG Kush 15E/g : super old school kush smell, really nice OG high! (no pic)

Master Kush 15E/g : standard. (no pic)

Amnesia 15E/g: standard amnesia, not worth the price though

Image

We went next door to Bagheera and scored some good Heaven Haze,
unfortuanetly didnt take any pics.

Next stop was the super famous GreenHouse.

GreenHouse:

this place looks cool to chill when theres no crowd, but in the many times I‘ve
visited amsterdam I never got to sit down there because all the people
flushing in there.
The BT was quite cold to me but showed me all the strains I wanted to see
and at least gave every four of us a grinder.
I knew the Greenhouse is having good quality sometimes but I always
feel ripped off after I go out there.

We bought:

Jack Herrer 10E/g : classic, but there‘s better Jack.

Exodus Cheese ?E/g: sweet cheese pheno

Super Lemon Haze 14,50E/g:
like the lemon scent, not so good samples this time

Image

Kalashnikova 14E/g: nothing special. really random IMO.

Image

Orange Shack 16E/g: really good samples, like biting an orange

Image

After that we were surely buzzed and off to The Green Place.
I encountered a very rude BT grabbed some standard bud and
immediately went out again. again no pics of bud, because there was
no bud.

now it was off to the headshop to buy a bong for each hotel room
and some smokin accesories. lets do a quickstop at rusland.

Rusland:

The BT was very friendly and the shop was not crowded,
the menu seemed pretty legit and the weed was good,
with some exceptions, as always.

White Russian 11E/g: Always liked me some White Russian. (no pic)

Hindu Kush 10E/g: decent kush, nice smoke.

Image

back to the hotel and enjoy the product. that was it for day1.

Day 2

We woke up to the sun glimmering through the curtains which was a
really nice time to wake n bake.
We got some breakfast and off to the shops again.
first up barneys.

Barney‘s Lounge:

I didnt want to go but my mates desired to see it.
went in, got a bored BT, some really standard bud at a too high price
and got headache from some too loud wired minimal music.

dont remember what my mates bought but I got this.

Tangerine Dream 16E/g: had better last time. usually quite good. but this time not.

Image

G13 Haze 15E/g: nice cross, the only good thing at barneys IMO.

Image

then we were wandering round the city till we came to

Homegrown Fantasy:
Here we had a nice guy and woman BT team, they really cared
and even sliced up a fresh bag after i asked some buds,
this shop has quite a cool atmosphere, good menu good prices.

Caramella 10E/g: really fresh stoned and an awesome smell, best price.

Image

of course we immediatly went over the street to

Utopia:

this is one of my favourite shops, great atmosphere
and really nice quality product, constantly. these guys are good people.

Amnesia Haze 12E/g: nice amnesia, clean buzz. (no pic)

Motivation 13E/g: strong uplifting high, smell was not my taste but unique

Image

Lemon Skunk 10E/g: this one had me smiling all day, one of the better smokes, just relax for hours, top shelf.

Image

Day 3

Everybody started with a nice breakfast at the hotel lobby and some
nice morning doobies, then wen again went through whole amsterdam
on the search for the green. first stop this day:

Voyagers:

also one of my favs in amsterdam. this shop got everything.
a dog, cool people, serious high grade bud for reasonable prices
and its a hotel!
maybe staying here next time, such a cool building!

Casey Jones: not trimmed the best but smooth smoke!

Image

Cali Amnesia: december special, very tasty and unique smell.

Image

El Cid Kush: very distinctive Kush smell, nice buzz!

Image

amazed by the nice voyagers product we got some munchies and figuered
out the next CS.

420 Cafe/De Kuil:

this shop has such a nice old school feeling to it and the BT took
some time for us and really loved his green.

420 Kush: Old School Kush, heavy high. (no pic)

420 Haze: tasty, fruity, pungeant smell, best haze

Image

quick stop at Hunters for this Chemdawg: best example of this strain!

Image

Betty Boop:

had a good informed BT, he knew his strains and was proud
to present them.

Only thing we bought here was the best sativa I ever smoked,
it had a delight purple color (rarely seen any good in the dam)
and had a name i never heard before:

Killing Fields 17E/g:

Image

and up close with this beauty:

Image

The last stop this day we decided on going to Grey Area.

Grey Area:

Never been to this shop before and because of that I didnt know
about that que thing going on there. so many people, we waited in
line for 30 minutes which was not long as we should discover the
other day we went to rebuy some of their dank and waited 1h.
When we got to the BT he was all nice and giving us time despite
a big crowd behind us squeezing in the shop.
The quality here amazed me and I put the shop in my top 3
as he got a fresh restock right at the moment we were standing in front.

Grey Chrystal: I had better kief, but good price.(no pic)

Bubble Haze: high grade bud, covered with chrystals, fresh smoke.(no pic)

Hawaiian Punch: super fruity, very strong high

Image

Kosher Kush: This ish aint kosher anymore, THE best kush I ever got
to smoke, litteraly instant couchlock and low eyes!

Image

Since I was smokin too much of that Kosher I wasnt able to take anymore
pics for the last days.

we went to some other coffeeshops as well but I cant really remeber, too much smoke.

so i hope you enjoyed the pics and words anyway.

I‘m so looking forward to my next amsterdam trip and maybe
I‘ll meet some of you at some time.

kind regards

Very nice bud pix. They had my mouth watering.

Next trip point the camera at the menus. ( Ask first, better told no than thrown out )
Most shops don't care.

Enjoy

Really enjoyed reading that report. Some good shots. Which would you say was the smoke of the trip? The Kosher Kush?

I really glad you all enjoy it, nice to hear. many thanks for the comments.

FlyByNite: I'm definitly going to do that next time, so theres some fresh menus on here.

treetop: THE smoke of the trip for me was the Kosher Kush & the Killing Fields, cause I was always going mostly sativa for the daytime
and more indica in the nighttime for relaxed sleeping. If you wake up and smoke a almost pure Killing Fields doobie
you'll be instant fresh like cold water splashing in your face, haha
and the Kosher is just devastating in the evening :D
