Hotels in De Pijp

Post by Judo »

Can anyone recommend a hotel in this area? I don't know it very well.

Was considering the NH Museum Quarter or Hotel Okura.. doesnt seem to be any smoker friendly hotels around

I stayed at Hotel Aalborg twice, I liked this Hotel.
But go for a bigger room, some single rooms are tiny. Had one of the tiny rooms November 2011. But I stayed there only to sleep. The advantage of the tiny room was the roof window to smoke. You can choose the room size, pay a bit more and get more.

But it's not smoker friendly I thing, but I did not ask. I think there are no smoker friendly Hotels in the Pijp at all. But Katsu, Papillon, de Graal and Club Media are just around the corner. And in summer the Saphatipark.

Heard good things about this place. On the Amstel at the east side of De Pijp. Smoker friendly and only about 10 mins from the Cuyp Markt.

Have you looked at this place? It's pretty basic (i.e. shared bathrooms), but it's smoker friendly and in the area you're considering. http://www.bedcoffee.nl/index.html

There's also a small studio apartment for short-term rent in this neighborhood. I was considering it for late May/early June before I booked a room elsewhere. This one does have it's own bathroom and a kitchenette. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/164196
Next trip: November 2013

Small rooms have only shower, but on suite. Large rooms have a bathtub f.e., and much more space! And large rooms have a boiler to make tea or coffee, small rooms don't have a boiler if I remember right.

The large double I had November 2010:

That's very nice rooms. Best for accommodations in the place. How much is the rate?

Last summer I stayed in the Hotel Atlantis on Ceintuurbaan:

Presumably you get fined for not smoking on the balcony. So do as the nice people say.
