Real football. If I was to refer to the inferior and poorly named US sport to which you refer I'd say American Football or Pansies Rugby perhaps.

Also, this isn't a riddle IMO. Seems like a scientific experiment. At least asking at what depth would the inflated ball implode...

Back from the supermarket yet? lol. As a S.W.A.G. I would say it is impossible since the density of a golf ball is not high enough and it will actually float in salt water. So even in fresh water, "loosely" hanging enough might be a stretch to accomplish. Since this was a February post, I would imagine all the guesses are in, but I am still curious as to the answer.
