I'm on the hunt for CBD rich strains(4%+) available in Amsterdam. I heard 'catatonic' was on sale for a while but I haven't been able to find it myself. Any tips? Much appreciated, & many thanks in advance for any help you might have.
With so many different strains to choose from there is bound to be high CBD stuff available in the dam. However it is a question of the old needle in a haystack where the needle regularly moves around the haystack!

I'm always on the lookout for high CBD strains myself. In your shoes I might contact the CBD crew directly and ask them for guidance on the subject.

Thanks guys. Very helpful & its much appreciated. 'Resin' has popped up a few times and if memory serves me right they were the guys serving 'catatonic' for a while. I'll definitely check in there next time I drop by amsterdam and I'll get back to you here. I'm hoping I meet a knowledgeable bud tender :-)

Yeah I think you're right. Resin Seeds are based in barcelona. Resin the coffeeshop did appear to carry one of their CBD strains for a while, though.

Has the situation changed since the OP?

You see high CBD strains advertised all the time on online seed shops. There is obviously a market for this stuff.

So, why haven't coffeeshops picked up on it?? You would think the market for weed in Holland is very saturated, and coffeeshops would be looking for anything to differentiate themselves. And yet, no one in the whole country carries a high CBD strain??

De Graal have a medic weed section on their menu... when I was there the last time (3 months ago) I was looking for some ice hash or something like that... the super friendly budlady showed me all of their hashes... she recommend the Purple Cheddar Iso. She said that the hash is made of the Purple Cheddar (not on the menu anymore) strain which had a high CBD content... she seems to be pretty knowledgeable. At their latest menu they have 2 strains in the medic section.

Usually when people casually refer to "high cbd" it might have 1% if you're lucky. I would be very surprised if blue cheddar had more than that. I'm looking for something like the OP was which was specifically bred for cbd levels, 4% at least. I don't know what "medical" means, if anything, but afgoo is low cbd. I don't know about that other one.

It does look like a good place to check out though, thanks.

I've had some nice EOS fro Bluebird, amd I think 1e hulp also carries it. It is supposed to hipabe high Cbd. The batch I smoked had a smooth and calming body high to it. My favorite indica of my last visit.

A.P.I (Ambiguous Purple Indica) - €14 / g (I think)
Available in Utopia coffeeshop, although apparently they only have a very limited quantity.
Menu states ~10% CBD
Amazing unique smell and taste, very sticky nugs. Easily the best weed in stock that day.
Effects difficult to determine accurately as too many other strains smoked earlier in the day.
Definitely high CBD content though, as it neutralised the high I was on from some Hawaiian Haze rapidly.
Worth trying for any indica lover and/or medicinal users.

10% CBD sounds right. We thought the menu had said 30% CBD which sure is a mistake.
Anyhow Gapy hogged all the API but he said it was really nice to smoke and quite strong.

Haha no surprise there... Gapie done the right thing... looks like one of them strains that'll probably not return now for a while... apparently even all the tenders had taken 5g bags for themselves... so how could I resist
