when a new rout is offered in the USA, they usually have a sale to promote it

I fear KLM Cityhopper will regret this decision!
I went to University in Canterbury, and remember flying over to visit family for Sinterklass in December 04 on EUJET.
Paid a few £ each way + tax, was one of 4 people on the Fokker 100 going out.
Still hope some people get some use out of it, KLM Cityhopper isn't a bad operation (apart from its ridiculously inflated prices from regional airports).

KLM is not after the leisure traveler. They want the businessman or woman to buy full fares at the last minute.

its aimed at business men and women. when eujet did this they did an offer of £7 return. so i spent about £1000. the most i saw on one fooker was 7 people. the price is ticket is £19.99 when you add all the taxes its £99 return. i dont feel it will work either but i can still get a few more day trips in before i finish with dam with no lugging suitcases round london.

Hi stuart I think you're the wrong side of the river for Southend are you ? they have some good fares. We're flying out of London City in April for £100 return. I'm straight out of the city on the piccadilly line for Heathrow or Docklands in the other direction, 30/40mins either one.

Sounds perfect, you almost can get to @dam in a couple of hours from home. I always thought they dug the channel tunnel in the wrong place; but would they listen............

business travellers are making cutbacks too, Gatwick isn't far by car or train and offers much better fares than the KLM Cityhopper approach of charging as much as possible. Reaching KIA requires a train + bus/taxi or driving which isn't great.
time will tell if it's successfully I guess.

If you can put up with an hours train journey from Liverpool St then Southend is a good option. New terminal, only a couple of hundred yards walk from the station. The flight time was only 35 minutes. It's owned by Stobarts and the bar prices are a joke. £4 for a 330ml bottle of lager and a fiver for a micro-bottle of wine. Apart from that it was as pleasant as any airport experience can be.

Bloody hell. Just checked the prices from Manston. April, May and June it's about £40 each way. It bumps up to £293 each way in July.

Me and the Daughter bagged a couple from London City in the docklands for £100.12 all in return, and thats at OK times too, leaving 0935, I'm not an early bird, returning Monday at 1930. Perfect.

And it's one checked bag and a snack, no extra charge that I can see.
