Depending on how lucrative some of these shops are, perhaps the school(s) affecting a particular CS could be bought off and persuaded to move. Or in a more mob-like move, the school could be bombed or otherwise forced to cease existence. Some of these 'businessmen' could be pretty ruthless, I imagine.

Who says the CS has to move? Change the factor(s) that affect the status of the CS.

IF it even comes to that. Talk is cheap in the NL, it seems, when big money is involved.

A little more light reading and you will see that this has been in the works for several years, and now they are acting on it.
Your comment would have been more fitting when the Dutch Government first announced several years ago that all shops within 250 meters WILL be closed.
If you want to see for yourself, go to the various locations where shops USED to be located. They no longer exist because of the 250 meter LAW.

Can't find a link but think I read that the owner of Noon? said they could try to buy the school nearest them & close it if needed

So the times they are a changin'. Aren't they always? it's a tragedy of course but I predict there will still be enough places to cater for what will likely be, considering current developments in America particularly, a diminishing market.
