Being Human UK vs US

Post by amstajunkie »

Watched the first season of the UK version on netflix and liked it but some things really put me off. Why did a werewolf try to rape a ghost, how would that be possible? Why can a ghost get a job? Why is the vampire eating regular food? Thought it was dumb for the vampires to not have reflections.. The main actors were beautiful and the show was good and I liked it but the plot lines were kinda shaky with what seemed to me dumb things. I did however really like it, so much so that when I found out there was a US version I almost didnt watch it, but my curiosity got the better of me and I downloaded the 1st season from pirate bay.

Wow, I was amazed the actors arent quite as beautiful and the story for the most part stays the same during the first season but the story telling is amazingly better. The characters are developed on such a deeper emotional level that I some times get a lump in my throat when they start narrating at the end of an episode. I have to say kudos for the British for coming up with such a great idea (who would of thought a series with a ghost, vampire and werewolf living together would have been good?) but the Americans really took it to the next level.

I know there are going to be some UK fan boys out there so let me here your opinion .

well the writer actually said the show should never have lasted 5 seasons for such a ludicrous story, you said some things put you off like werewolf raping ghost? well its a supernatural program so those things go out the window and not really paid attention to, ive only seen 1st episode of the us version and since it was the pilot it would be unfair for me to offer a compassion of the shows

the uk version is cancelled after series 5
