I wouldnt call it a shit hole, its a place where you stay for a stag weekend, but not with a wife or girlfriend. Just get high and you will enjoy. Good location, but some stairs to hike

That's actually perfect, TC... The place was booked because it looked like a decent place for me and two mates to slob about for a couple of days... My girlfriend has already said she wouldn't go near an apartment like that ...In fact, i have yet to find a place in Amsterdam that meets with her satisfaction... So, i guess i'll just have to suffer with my buds!

Through Amsterdam stay ID 502. I stayed here with my wife in October. She loved it its a really nice apartment on the Van woustraat. It was perfect mate for taking the other half. Huge bathroom. Comfy bedroom and spotlessly clean. Good price too. Take a look

I stay there during 4-20

Was it a pleasent stay? All i'm concerned about is what the guy who rents the place is like, and that the kitchen is relatively clean... As long as there are no horror stories, i'm not too worried.

I'm going to stay there in April this year, never been there before. The Apartment I wanted at first is not for rent this year. But I think this place will be cool.

So,did you liked the place? I rent the apartment also for four nights in september and am now eager to hear what people how to say about it.
Besides me there will be 2-3 friends of mine coming along..I guess we will fit there..

The location is great, the apartment would also be great. But the mice is a no go.

Yes, I mentioned the problem when I checked out. I should have asked for a discount but I didn't. He said he will go and spray (pump) the mices. Next time they will be gone. But I think there will be no next time at this place for me. btw I had never a mice in any other apartment or hotel I stayed in Amsterdam, that was the first time.

I have pictures of them if you want to see I'll upload and show you.
They get active at night till early morning. At first I didn't believe this was real, but the pics are the proof.

Ah, the smoking equipment is shit, I only could manage to get a small acrylic working.
The glass one was broken and had no bowl that fitted. The bigger acrylic pipes all had missing parts too. I didn't use the PS3 at all, only the TV was in use.

Okay,I hope they have got rid of those mices before we arrive...Good to know the smoking gears aren't that good as I thought.A bit disapointing though,as I was already getting excited about the idea of having a vaporizator in the apartment..

Thanks for all the info Colina... Shame about the bongs... Not much of a bowl person, but was hoping to get totally blazed in the apartment at night... Maybe they'll have some new ones by July.

I'd love to see the pictures, btw... Do you have any of the room, or are they all of the mouse?

Well, that's the kind of review that pumps a bit of excitement into my upcoming trip... One of the best first posts I think I've read! ...Except the "Joker" bit... Might give that a miss and try the hash in Rusland on day one.

Keep hearing incredibly good reviews of the company and Mo in particular, so i'm assured more and more that this was the right place to book... Was a little concerned when we heard about the mouse, but i'm guessing given the levels of customer service Amsterdam Escape apparently provide, we're assuming the rodent will have found alternative accommodation... Of equal or greater value!

...This time next week, eh!!!!

I've booked this place with two friends for September 8th - 13. Due to the location for price. It was the cheapest I could find plus it's a straight route down through Rembrandt square to the south and close enough to the centre. Looking forward to the stay just hoping the mice situation is sorted.

Ok, so I stayed here from July 2nd to July 5th and, considering we were three guys in a place with one proper bed, it was fantastic.

House manager (Mo) was helpful and friendly, the room was spotless and there was no sign of Rastamouse.

It's on the third floor, up some standard Amsterdam twisty stairs, and there's no lift, so probably not great for anyone with walking difficulties... Also, the "Bed" is above the rest of the apartment up what can only be described as a slightly tilted, ladder-like deathtrap... So, be careful when stoned or recently awakened!

Didn't use the bongs as, to be honest, they looked a bit dirty... Aside from that, everything else was great...

Standard clutter all over the place giving it a lived-in feel, t.v. worked fine, as did the Playstation, which was handy for late night youtube surfing through the free Wi-Fi, bathroom was small but adequate, kitchen had all we needed including kettle, coffeemaker and what looked like a milk frother thingy, but I didn't feel the need to explore further.... Great location, great atmosphere and a really nice place to come back to for a smoke!
