PROPAS "sort of triumphant" RETURN!! 15th - 17th march

Post by BIG POPPA PROPA »

So here i am, back in the land of no coffeeshops

looking over my photos and what little notes i have of the past weekend.

I will post this report in staggered parts, as with my last reports i've burnt out after 2 mammoth upload sessions and never finished them - booooooooooooo u all say

SO....... Where do i start, trip 29............. A lot of planning went into this trip as i wanted to make sure i wasted no time or money on things that were of little interest to me.

I've done the culture of Amsterdam, I'll be brutally honest i'm only here for the insane amount of weed everywhere!!!

So caught the flight from london city airport at a leisurely 9:25am, short flight as usual, touched down local time of around 11:30, met with friends who had caught flights from southend and heathrow at similar times, bought train tickets and was in the dam by 12:30-1:00ish, after some faffing around at the station etc....

Room booked at Voyagers for our stay, OMG i should've known that i'd be on the top fucking floor  :D

Just what i needed, 4,000,000,000,000,000,000 steps to get my trip started!! Quick change and i was downstairs chatting with HB about whats good etc....

Ahhh, i'm home!!! lets buy some weed!! HB informed me that the menu was changing later in the day and some killer sour power was coming in (more on that later tho), so i bought a gram of the Bio Super Lemon haze to kick start my day!!

Bio Super Lemon Haze

Not the greatest photo, as i was in a mild state of emphatic euphoria and wasn't really concentrating on this one, it was the usual haze taste that i've come to love and equally loathe to the point where smoking it is sometimes tiresome. The familiar taste is pleasant enough but i kno that what will follow will surpass this strain with ease!!

My fellow travellers also bought a gram of this as we were pretty much wanred off everything else on the menu by HB and his missus, this ladies and gentlemen is why Voyagers surpasses most coffeeshops with ease!!! where in the centre of town will openly tell you don't buy this because its crap and we are getting a fresh batch of sour power later on!!! PURE CLASS!!!  :D

Had to go and check my other friends in at their hotel at this point, Hotel Eden on the Amstel just a minutes walk from the bushdoctor, my mate took his missus so they opted for a classier (ahem) hotel

As i am the tour guide for every trip we walked them down to here on the double so we could get back to consuming vast amounts of cannabis!!

Saw this on the way down there in one of the pancake/waffle shops!!!

EPIC NUTELLA!!!! 5 FUCKING KILOS!!! I NEED THIS JAR!!!

After drooling outside this window we finally got them to the Eden Hotel, they quickly changed and we were off!!!!

I decided that we should take a trip to the Grey Area!!

We all kno the score here, normally a buy and fly place, but on the occasion when u can chill here i fucking love the vibe of the place!! luckily for us when we arrived the Bartop along the side was empty as were the stools, we chatted with the crazy old guy at the side of the bud tender and had a look at the menu.

Had a look and smell of a few things in here, Everygrey, Casey jones, Purple Westside, El Cid, in fact most things.

My friends bought some Casey Jones, Everygrey and Silver Bubble.

I bought 2g Everygrey and 1g Purple westside (it was alot better than voyagers example)

1g Purple Westside - Lovely smooth smoke, with an almost metallic/earthy taste, very unexpected as the smell was next to nothing on this bud. Was extremely suprised by the taste, and enjoyed every toke of the joint to the bottom!! not too strong, a functional high with a slap of body stone for comfort!!

1g Evergrey - wow!!! East Coast Sour Diesel was an all time favourite of mine and this strain captures it all!! the taste, smell and high were of the highest calibre!! this is a contender for smoke of the trip and its barely 3 hours in

No close up bud shot of the evergrey sorry people it came out to fuzzy to save!!

We chilled in the grey area for a while, enjoying the tunes, some very rare grooves were played that day!! i tried to shazaam one of them and my phone was like ?????????? the fuck is this   sounded like hendrix but can't be sure!!!

The Gang after leaving the Grey Area

A few pit stops were made after leaving the grey area, Wok 2 Walk, the old man head shop, picked up some supplies and a small glass bowl for later.

Also made a very quick stop in the greenhouse to take a look at this "cup winner" flower bomb kush!!

Now we all kno the deal with the Greenhouse!!! very commercial, overpriced rubbish usually. But WOW!!! This flower bomb kush blew me away on sight!! and smell!! for once the "cup winner" didn't let me down!! I can't remember what everyone else bought in here as i was done with keeping tabs on everyones smoke list by this point. Though one other person bought the flower bomb kush too!!

Couldn't chill in the greenhouse as it was MOBBED out with Hipsters trying to look cool smoking dope, never going to happen people

So at this point people were flaking and needed to rest so we decided to have a coma (nap in any other country)

On the way back to Voyagers i couldn't help myself and made a stop at Hunters  but i wanted some NYC Diesel, and a connect at tipped me off on the batch they had. Very nice sample of it as well, i know hunters gets a bad rep, but good diesel is good diesel no matter where its from, my friend also bought 1g of Pineapple Express in hunters, it smelled lovely, more like Amnesia Haze but hey ho, still a lovely bud!! 8)

Again sorry bout the pic quality, all of these are taken with an iPhone 5, so no macro zoom, etc, some came out really good others not so good, hey ho......

So one buy and fly laster i was up the 4,000,000,000,000,000,000 steps and crashed out on my bed, to have a mammoth smoke out and get ready for the night time madness that will surely follow!!

Rolled a joint of Flower Bomb kush back at the room!!! WOW!!! I can see why this bud won the cup!! I can also see why Evergrey was a close second, both were quite similar, must be in the genetics huh?? Extremely powerful smoke, taste was like a sour gobstopper!! High has an instant feel, like a baseball bat upside the head, but in a good way!! felt very floaty afterwards!! just my type of high!!

Bowl of NYC diesel before nap, topped with mystery hash that one of my friends bought in the Greenhouse i think??? Super KO!! Sweet grapefruit of the NYC before the hard hit of the hash in the middle, nice and spicey not too powerful but enough to send me to sleep after the Flower Bomb Kush!!

Coma Inducing!!

Hope you lot enjoyed the first instalment of my trip!!

Thanks, I like your writing style and those bud pics are lovely, made my mouth water. :)

I'm flying from London city airport for the first time in April, it looks a lot less hassle than Heathrow.
What a long strange trip it is.

It is a lot less hassle. Oystercard it all the way through. Set up for quick check in for busy business types. Small, so no 20 minute expeditions to the gate. Hope for westerly winds as the climb out is over the City before turning right up to the Lea Valley area.

Yes, I've seen them take off it's a steep climb and hard a starboard for a 180 turn, and I can Freedom Pass it on the tube. For me to get to Heathrow or London City takes about the same time, 1 hour max (assuming no transport hassles) from my house.
