On a Wednesday morning in Amsterdam a large group of tourists blocking the pavement outside this place...

http://www.jaysjuices.nl/

I went in and spent 6.5 eu on a large juice made to order with Jay's advice. The juice was how real food tastes when it is prepared fresh with not too much extra crap put in it. It tasted like freedom for my belly.

Try it but understand the place makes Grey area look cavernous! Take away anyone?

I have been friends with Jay since around 2007 or so. Yes, great fellow and always fun to talk to.

One of his Perfect Day drinks will def get you going, even more so if you add some wheatgrass.

"You want ginger in there, boy?"

Yes please .... ;-)

You can find him on Facebook.

Does anyone know if this place is open on Sundays? There are no opening times on the website, it will be nice to be able to get some wheatgrass shots while in the dam.

Another great place for drinks:

La Fruteria

Great smoothies and great fruit drinks! A must stop whenever I am in Amsterdam! Very easy to find as it is right across the street from Magna Plaza and the Die Port van Cleve on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.

Utopia and Homegrown Fantasy are close.

Even before looking at the google view, I asked myself, is this the place with the oranges in the window that I'm always passing by?
Yep. Might have to pause there for some refreshment.

Definitely worth a visit for the juice and the chat. The fella was chatting up my Mrs whilst we were waiting on our drinks  His banter was brilliant. I'm not sure if he was at the wind up or not but he was telling me he lived in Glasgow for a while. Anyone know if that's right enough?

Edited for mong spelling.
