I told Dick what a wonderfully thick white moustache he had cultivated and he went on to inform me that this was, in fact, the hairy rudder for his Magic Bathtub. Never has a more fine and splendid thing been used in the steering of any ship, said I.
With wise old eyes, a knowing demeanour and a gentle tone he looked forward into the clouds and whispered "Now, onward... I have a murder to diagnose".
