I know shops and private folks, that will sell me 50grams or more but I will take their names to my grave.

Why on earth do tourist need more than 5g per day at one shop? Amsterdam tolerates weed (still) so please show some respect follow the rules.

When everyone bitches and moans when this country restricts cannabis tolerance, before blaming the Dutch, look in a mirror.

High i thought it was a joke!!
Do you really think the anonymous unsubstantiated chatter on a web site could influence the Netherlands drug policy?
If the tolerance to weed changes it will be the believers of the christian democrats in the Netherlands and the USA and French governments the EU and UN will be the people to blame.
AS they are the people who oppose the weed tolerance in the Netherlands.
But as they have the lowest drug abuse numbers in the developed world they know the policy works.
Please tel me what rules i have broke, and what is the disrespect i am showing??
Any moderators let me know if i am braking any rules please.

The jokes on you. You defo did not break any board rules, cause apparently one can buy fake passports on ACD now :D

But you seem to be really interested to know which shops will violate the Dutch law for you. Which I think is kinda of pathetic, if you truly need to buy more than 5 grams to save a few euros, them come on...

Does chatter on ACD impact Dutch canabbis law? Nope. But I can assure you, tourists who publically disregard the law does affect policy. Many Dutch hate the idea of being a drug tourism location and that certainly impacts the way many Dutch vote, and they are a conservative lot.

You (and me) are lucky coffeeshops exist. Show a little respect for the Dutch and if you absolutely must buy more than 5g on a vacation, just ask nicely and privately on the downlow. Better yet, do your absolute best to help all coffeshops follow the law. What it you are able to score 20g, but the guy behind you is a cop? You just helped fuck that shop and all of us.

If you want a kilo of weed, or coke or MDMA, I have no problem with that. But please find a private seller for it and don't endanger the already suffering canabbis scene here. Peace

I know Hill Street's menu advertises larger amounts than 5grams. A quick word with the dealer illuminates that this option is open to groups wishing to purchase a large amount based on 5 grams per head. I did witness someone try and purchase something like 12g on his own and he was rebuffed.

Not to say that these things don't happen, or do for that matter, but it was nice to see the coffeeshop sticking to what could be seen as a very crafty and cheeky method.

Fair play all in all.

*old fart mode*

Back in the late 70s it was perfectly possible to buy what you wanted, either from a shop or by being hooked up with one of the shops suppliers. The vast majority was imported hash and most shops sold the same strains. It was very much sell what you could get hold of. The restrictions then were very lax compared to now.

I can't understand why you would want to buy more than 5g from a shop given the much tighter restrictions and the possible consequences for the shop concerned. Not saying it does not happen but why would you want to? Given sufficient funds, a tram card and a few hours I could get 100g of the best weed in the Dam at 5g per shop and the only person I am jeopardising is myself if the police decided to search me.

What we have at the moment is a precious thing that is constantly under attack from some politicians and a substantial portion of the population of Amsterdam. Anything that gives them more ammunition to shoot us down must be avoided. If we all stuck to the rules and kept a relatively low profile then the status quo may continue.

I don't want to go back to the old days when every other person in the RLD was hassling you to buy hash from them and the place was far more dangerous than it is now. Regulation has cleaned the area up for the better and I want to keep it that way.

High as i said i dont want to buy more than 5g from any one shop if i wanted large amounts the coffeshops are not the way. i could get kilos @ about 4000 Uees in NL.
i cant even think a newbie would even buy like that as the math doesn't work.
I remember the days when every corner had a hash seller but i never was hassled to buy.that only seemed to happen with the so called hard drugs.
Just a no thanks or just dont make eye contact and it was never a problem for me @ least.
Remember no coffeeshop can stick to the law as the back door is not regulated and the restock runners can be lifted anytime.
The amsterdam police obviously aren't working to catch these guys.
i think the law situation is worse today as a coffeeshop owner can be have his licence removed for just suspicion of criminal association.
As the weed has to be purchased illegally so just that fact can be used if wanted.
Its the bebo law afaik. No proof is needed apparently just suspicion.
which sounds more national socialistic than the liberal country that i thought the NL was.
I remember the 1995 licensing of the coffeeshops and thought @ first it was a good thing. But A guy said tome @ that time he thought it was a bad thing!!!
Now they can take away the license away and he said it could be the beginning of the end for them.
And it looks like he might have been right!?
all the best everyone

Yeah, the licences mean that they can pull em away at any time, but, then, as everyone's been saying, there will just be more street dealers, which is why they allowed the C/S's to flourish in the first place from what I understand, so hopefully that'll keep em from closing down too many/completely.

For those who ask why the need for more thn 5g, as the coffeeshops close fairly early, have had many a rush to grab some late at night, and still ended up running out.

Sometimes would have been handy to not have any limit, just like you wouldn't expect if going out to the Supermarket etc to stock up on drinks for the evening and only being able to buy X Liters, yeah I know it's not the same as weed is "tolerated" and not legal, just that's what peoples frustrations with the current rules are. But as others have mentioned, prob best to keep this kinda info out of public forums to save any hassle  Personally I've never bothered as much prefer getting a nice selection  but there are times when being able to get more woulda been handy.

A very common misconception of tourists. NL society is extremely conservative.

I think there is a bit too much paranoia here. I will not name any specific shops, but I personally know three very popular ones that openly sell and advertise deals for over 5 grams. Their menus are denominated by price deals (ie they offer Euro10,20,and 50 deals). The advertised 50Euro deals are for as much as 18grams for the lower quality hashes. So right there on their menu they say we will sell you 18grams for 50Euro. If it were THAT illegal I doubt they would openly advertise it. Also these shops are in the heart of the area, so not some hidden ones that only locals frequent.

The one thing they all take extremely seriously is the age restriction, other than that coffeeshops are very easy going.

I think that this point has already discussed and those selling larger amounts generally will sell it for groups per head. I doubt that they would risk there licence for a measly 50 euro. Just my opinion of course but it doesn't add up especially as there now seems to be a constant battle with coffeeshops and the government.

I just don't see them justifying there license to sell a bit more cheap hash
