Wow was everyone in Amsterdam?
Can't believe not one board member but me was there; I was one among 10,000!

Not a mention on the BBC websites.
Probably been told not to give any publicity.
Just this on the Evening Standard website.

Yeah just like the Brockwell Park marches and parties in the late '90's-you would think they just did not exist due to the complete ignorance of them from the mainstream press even though they were attended by thousands!
The Standard link you posted seems to carry more or less the same text as articles in the Daily Fail and Torygraph, more concerned with getting the opinion of a passing jogger (probably a local Mayfair resident who spends his days recovering the over-inflated debt of third world countries) than the thousands of people there taking part.
"As parents and young children played nearby"-I know we were one of them and our son had a wonderful time amongst such peaceful people!
*EDIT* BBC finally get round to some reasonably rounded coverage:

Sounds like plod aren't looking for any brownie points with the Tory tabloids-
Supt Jon Morgan, Westminster and Royal Parks, said extra officers had been put in place.
He said it was difficult to tell who was there to mark the event and who was just enjoying the sunshine.

Oh good godMary Brett, a retired teacher, who set up the charity Cannabis, Skunk, Sense, told BBC London 94.9 ithe police should have taken it far more seriously.
She added: "The trouble with cannabis is people still don't appreciate how dangerous it is.
"The last potency study in 2008 showed that skunk was 80% of the market so about 80% of these kids were probably smoking skunk.
"It's a horrific drug, completely different to the one around in the sixties and seventies.."

I kid you not, Mary Brett was a teacher of mine in school. she is both a fruit cake, and a dinosaur. One mad paranoid old lady.

Yet more witless parroting about the new super strength evil cannabis which is apparently different from harmless cannabis from the 1960s.
Good article from Ben Goldacre who specialises in highlighting bogus science bollocks-

Shame an ex teacher can't employ a bit of academic rigour before opening her mouth.
