If anyone is staying in the Jordaan area or fancies a walk there for some tastey food I can recommend -
Moeders Amsterdam, Rozengracht 251, 1016 SX Amsterdam. For some traditional Dutch cuisine. Second trip in a row where we've booked a table here. large portions, gets busy.
Vlaming eten & drinken,Lindengracht 95, 1015 KD Amsterdam. Deserves their #2 spot on trip advisor for best restaurants in Amsterdam. Food and service fantastic, gets busy so best to go when they open. Royale burger was awesome!!

I can recommend Cafe de Prins.

They have a nice little bar, as well as great terrace seating. During the winter they run pea soup on the menu daily IIRC. Nothing like a bowl of that stuff for lunch on a cold day with some proper coffee, and a beer to wash it down. Paradox is nearby.
Just keep walking west past Grey Area, cross the Prinsengracht and there you are.
You will also pass a brick fired oven pizza place on your right. They are open only late IIRC (after 17:00).

La Perla for a decent Italian pizza. I visited on a Friday evening and it was great watching the locals out for a beer and a bite to eat. The area was buzzing.

The bud tender at paradox turned us on to this, Café De Reiger Nieuwe Leliestraat 34. It was excellent.
