Thanks GM... :)

Dispensaries? They look very similar to coffee shops, especially the hand printed sign with "...ask budtender."
If one needs an excellent example of stoners being the enemy of legitimate MMJ patients, look no further.
It's time that ALL the lies and bullshit come to an end.
The current system of dispensaries is an absolute part of the problem, a failure on so many levels. With some of the good that the system has done, it's been overshadowed by greed, selfishness, and utter disregard for those who the system was actually designed to support.
...and to think this could have been a beautiful thing, mainly and solely for the exclusive use by patients with legitimate maladies.
Back to the drawing board...
...and when designing dispensaries, leave out the smoking lounges, video games, and anything else that has absolutely NOTHING to do with dispensing medicine. A patient orders their medicine, then either picks it up and goes HOME to medicate, or if physically incapable, the medicine will be delivered (at cost).
Now that's a real solid foundation to rebuild on....
... sad

Everyone is entitled to their opinion...
This movement you speak of looks so much like a bowel movement, full of rancid shit. Long past due for a flush...
Patients, yeah, you know, the ones that are supposed to benefit from dispensaries, and you LMAO at them?
This was easier than I thought.

And this is why some states recoil from MMJ. The fact that doctors are lining their pockets from stoners that claim insomnia, chronic back pain and other maladies that are next to impossible to diagnose and pay for a prescription to help them sleep, chill or whatever. It is the piss takers that are actively putting the legalisation debate backwards.

I think you are wrong to generalize all dispensaries as greedy, selfish, and disregarding of patients. Most are exactly the opposite- concerned, low profit, and genuinely working to improve their medical knowledge and services. For example- it's routine for dispensaries in my area of Cali to offer discounts to seniors, veterans, and people with financial hardship. Of course there will be profiteers in every market (just as there are in the legal drug industries) and the fact that what we usually see/hear are from shops in the very largest markets give a really warped sense of what the cali med scene is really like.

What the market really needs here is for the fed to stop harassing legitimate businesses that are legal under state laws so that localities can get on with establishing the business models that best work for each region...

I must just be in a disagreeable mood today but I actually don't think the "piss takers" are hurting the movement. There are certainly a ton of people here in Cali who take mmj for reasons that include "just help them sleep chill or whatever." There have been for 17 years now, and I don't see any evidence that they are harming perception of mmj use- if anything more of the Californian and American public are for full legalization all the time. So 17 years of mmj has yielded a public more favorably disposed use that borders on recreational and even fully recreational.

Also, we would not have a problem with someone taking a drink, a vitamin, a prescription, or an aspirin to help them "sleep, chill, or whatever" so I don't see why using mmj to "medicate" is not exactly the same...

I have a prescription from a "real doctor" who actually requires significant documentation from your physician or naturopath before she will write a prescription. Apparently most of the customers in this area also use her, so honestly, I also wonder how many people are "abusing" the mmj system even now.
