anyone stayed at hotel pax ?

looking to find a new hotel for my next trip (going within 2 weeks i think) im looking for smoking allowed first of all and pretty central hopefully with bigger rooms than old quarter (which are bloody small) and lastly clean. i liked the few pictures ive seen of hotel pax, but acd reviews are more trusted. so has anyone stayed hear?? also dont mind going a bit more expensive as mate im going with is a little rich and prefers a few more luxuries (and he wasnt that impressed with old quarter except location). so what are your favorite smoker friendly, centrally located and clean hotels you like in amsterdam.. thanks..

In the area of the Old Quarter which I stayed in 10 days ago. Great staff but room dirty. Voyagers has the biggest single rooms and also the cleanest. Greenhouse effect rooms are a little more in price but also clean. You also have Hotel Malmollen (sp) but some of the single rooms are up in the roof of the buildings and almost impossible to stand up in.
