The Butcher

Arguably the best burger in town. If you like Burger Bar or Burgermeester, then you will love The Butcher. Located in De Pijp on the Albert Cuypstraat close to the street leading to Katsu. Open past midnight most nights and you can even sign up for dinner at their secret kitchen. It is worth the trip down to De Pijp to savor some beefy goodness!

Brought to you by Amsterdam's own 'Mister Delicious', so it just HAS to be good...right?

Noticed the place when I was at the AC markt, but didn't stop in. Maybe next time.
Hope it's nothing like Burgermeester.

They taste nothing like Burgermeester but use the same if not better quality meat.

I don't mind horse meat but dog meat sounds a bit ruff.

Nope but they do grind their own meat.

Is the babaganoush one a beefburger? It doesn't say it is, but the self-styled veggie option is hiding at the bottom and cheaper, so I'd assume that this one would have some sort of dead animal to go with the aubergines.

I was reading on trip advisor true views of the butcher. One person mentions that you can book up and get private back room that has a electronic door which opens via a remote.

Has anybody heard about this?

Actually it mentions the secret kitchen right on the top of the menu

But it sounds fun.
Thanks... I can try their veggie burger : >

Which is why I mentioned it in the opening post. Had a great roast dinner there back in January.
