Location,location,location

Hope it's O.K. to ask this here ....
I have reserved our five days in Amsterdam on a canal barge, but I think I may have got
us a little too far from the city.

It is east from the rear of CS by boat. It is on the eastern tip of an island. It is a beautiful
boat and we are sailors and like sleeping on a boat. What do ya'll think please?

I suppose it depends on the island. Those surreal bus destinations like Borneo Eiland or Java Eiland aren't that far out. But if it's the real Java in Indonesia, it'll probably be a bit of a pain.

I'm assuming that your nearest coffeeshop will be Trefpunt and Happy People. The former in particular intrigues me: it gets few, but good, reviews on this site, and is apparently quite cheap. In fact, reading up on this has made me determined to have a look at it on my next visit, so cheers.

Nothing in A'dam is that far away from anything else, and it's a good place for people who like boats.
