Has anyone stayed at The Toren?
First post!
I was wondering if anyone knows how 420 friendly The Toren is. I booked a suite that allows smoking, but nowhere on their literature does it state wether or not cannabis is allowed. Help a brother out.

Probably not since it one of the top hotels in the city. Most of the non-chain hotels here over 3 stars rarely allow smoking since the ban was introduced several years

hotels suck..... get a self service apartment instead, generally makes fro a cheaper trip if you have good kitchen facilities and like cooking

I thought of that but the last time I was in Amsterdam I went small. I wanted to do it nicer this time around.

Ask, I stayed at another 5 star in Amsterdam. Won't mention the name. I just asked for a smoking room. I smoked joints, left remains in ashtray in my room for the next day. No problem at all. The staff were helpful and friendly to a fault the whole stay no problem.Oldben1337 wrote:First post!

Ask, be nice, be friendly. It never hurts.
How much did you produce?

I guess my question is more cultural than legal. I was wondering if the folks at a 5 star joint (pun intended, sue me) would give some extra favors.treetop wrote:Ask, I stayed at another 5 star in Amsterdam. Won't mention the name. I don't think the Toren has smoking rooms, did you try requesting one? I have stayed at a few 4 and 5 star hotels in Amsterdam. Never a problem if I had a smoking room but others made it abundantly clear no smoking of any kind. The Toren is a boutique hotel which are usually a no go. Had you been in one of the NH hotels or the Amrath I would have told you not to worry about it.

for the price you are paying you can probably get a really nice self serviced apartment, with more space than your hotel room will offer, you can look for a smoker friendly one. I'd cancel and look else where....

Apparently some of their suites allow smoking if requested. I guess I should double check before I go.Balou wrote:I don't think the Toren has smoking rooms, did you try requesting one? As for the apartment thing; I rather not stay at a place that doesn't have someone to make the bed for me.

No hotel could beat this place

Stayed here a handful of times
And you can smoke anything you want..
You will have to make your bed.
