CA has no state wide regulatory network and the legalization initiative failed a few years ago. It has a huge population and more conservatives then most realize I think. It is compartmentalized to a point of no unity and the feds feed on that. The flimsy medical bill that passed talked about mmj only being sold with a non profit model and few there follow those rules I think. My opinion only and I hope they stay out of CO and WA.

thanks nsfe...:)

I'm not sure what form of math the author (Kristen Gwynne) is using, but my math has it like this: 28 + 71+ 4 = 103, which is the number of warning letters sent, so where is the vast majority that were un-warned? In other words, out of the 103 dispensaries that were raided, who wasn't warned? I think the author might consider not smoking when writing an article involving math... just saying.
Next, does anyone know or even care why these 103 establishments were targeted? Wanna bet non-patients and teenagers are involved, along with ties to criminal organizations? Hmm, possibly more cases of stoners being their own worst enemy.
As a friendly reminder, I was laughed at on this forum because of my opinion ref. dispensaries. I was laughed at because the joke is that most "patients" aren't actually "legitimate", just stoners trying to work the system.

Ok, that's my opinion.
Flaming trolls, you may begin...

Yup let's waste our resources. We have a government that has turned against it's people....
Now what shall we do?

Tell your friend that a guy from Colorado disagrees. They have nothing to gain by intervening and in fact would tie up limited resources they admit are better used elsewhere. Now you've had a conversation with a guy in Colorado that says the Feds will stay out of state business.

I cannot predict the future and neither can a guy living in Washington State. My best guess is, no or little federal intervention. Regardless, cannabis has been here for thousands of years and will be here for thousands more. Thanks to people like us the supply is ample and will remain so regardless of man made laws.

I'm with the Bonglord. The Federal Government will not acquiesce and make weed legal in our lifetimes due to the fact of so many treaties signed worldwide would need to be re-negotiated before that could occur. The best you can hope for is a situation similar to the Netherlands. Its not legal and they choose to look the other way. Colorado and Washington are in the Feds sights, make no mistake about it. I suggest those in Colorado or Washington pay their taxes.

What about power or control to gain. Even if they allow it they are stealing the fruits of your labor with taxation at growing and selling level. That too is intervention, a gain, and control/power all wrapped into one. If taking 100% of what you create is slavery, at what percent isn't it? 20% is only tax apparently...Yep it got voted legal, and they gave us an inch, and now I want a mile! Know why? Fuck em! That's why

I can only imagine a statement like that can be made by a soul who hasn't seen or experienced much intervention, or maybe just never noticed it. I wish I could think in such a way but its really our past, and experiences that shape us. Hope to visit Colorado soon!
