There is no good food anywhere in Holland and the RLD is the last place I would buy anything to eat or smoke. The prices alone would have me walking.

Kam Yin at the Centraal end of Warmoesstraat is quite nice and good value for money. For a quick munch you cant go far wrong with Wok to walk also on Warmoesstraat.
For cakes and stuff, the bakery down Damstraat opposite Doria hotel (Dam Square end) is good with lots of fresh cream and pastry based munchies and open 'till about 1am or later

And it charges a fucking fortune, stick to Albert Heijn, there's one in Nieuwemarket if you really most stay in the RLD, plenty of fresh cream and pastry based munchies there as well

Maybe try Pasta Plaza on Damstraat, pizzas start at 6 euro.

There is Vincent's on the corner of Nieuwmarkt and Monnikenstraat, across from Jolly Joker. Pretty good sandwiches but, they have bankers hours. You could just go to a Shawarma place since they are all over the place.

I'm allergic to chicken.
I go there for the Ribs even though these days I like to try and stay out of de Wallen. Too much pond life there on the margins. Too many hard drugs being abused en masse. Look at all the drunks and the trouble on the streets and in the bars they cause for example.
4 ribs, slaw, fries and a soda for less than 10eu. The style of ribs they make reminds me of the ones that KFC used to do until the late 80's/early 90's. I was a fan of those too.
The meal has a short shelf life if taken away it should be noted. Eating on the premises is basic but generally pretty clean.
However if hungry a short walk up Warmostraat will reveal a variety of cuisine at the 10-20 price range in more comfortable surroundings as well.

Lots of Chinese, Indonesian and Thai options lie this way.
