I went into a tobacco shop just next to Homegrown Fantasy. Got a bag of American Spirit for 5 euro something, and the pack of Rips I bought cost another 5 euro ! Already stocked up on my own papers for the move now.

I also got ripped off as I was an amateur in amsterdam i hadnt really understood the currency exchange I had 46 euros and I bought two hundred l&m cigarettes after that purchase I needed to buy more and I only had English pounds
when I asked how much I would have to pay in uk money he said 46 pound so I automatically purchased them thinking i had got a good deal it was not until my friend realised what had happened about an hour later that we went back.
You get a bad exchange rate over here, if that guy takes that to a GWK travelx he will get the following rate 1 GBP = 0.9104 EUR!!! so that 46pond = 41euro

So really you got a good deal, most likely the guy will sell it privetly to a friend he knows is travelling to the UK for a better rate for both of them, or keep it for himself if he has plans to do so, really the guy did you a favour and you did him one for him.

Thank you I'm going to Amsterdam in 14 hours and I was still a bit annoyed about the fact that I may of been ripped off and i was planning to buy from The airport instead of the dam but since you enlightened me on that I am going to reconsider and definitely use euros instead of using english pounds

Bizarrely, Golden Virginia costs €5.80 duty free on the Harwich-Hoek van Holland ferry, although I was under the impression duty free on ferries within the EU had been abolished years ago. That's the price for 50g at the bar; don't know what the shop price for ten packs is, as I keep pretending I don't smoke tobacco and didn't look.

Cigarettes are sightly cheaper here than the uk, took me a while before I started noticing the price written on the tax stamps. rolling papers are sold at stupid prices cos the only people who buy them are "weed snobs" who have to use RAW or Greengo papers instead of the futerolas most places give away. Boerejongons sells greengo at 1e a pak or 1.50 with filters, and I have a friend in a tourist sop so someties I get RAWs at that price as well.

i order my raws from the UK by the box, always ordered even when living in the uk, but even with the postage it is still so much cheaper than they sell for here. 30e for 50packets = 0.60c a packet, WIN!

i'm not really a snob for using Raw papers though, i've smoked the alternatives for years and i do prefer the taste of none bleached papers over bleached papers, everyone has a preference :) I do use the free roach though!
