the quality on the street is pretty poor unless you are really lucky. try to ask to young people smoking near the beach. I was lucky with a guy that called his dealer that came there to bring me some decent weed. good luck

Walk up La Rambla and find Plaza Real on your right. The Morroccans there can hook you up.

I used to score there in 1977-78-79 and apparently it has not changed one bit, according to what I read. I'm itching to go again, in cool weather. Two years in a row I spent Christmas and NYE in Barcelona, courtesy of the US Gubment.

It was a short walk up to Escudillers St. on the right near the bottom of the Ramblas. It was full of military bars so naturally that's where we went. Pretty sure I would do that differently nowadays, but I digress....

From there it was a short hike up to Plaza Real to score a nice piece of hash. We would bend a Coke can, puncture it and smoke the hash with it. I can see the little plaza in which we smoked just off Escudillers in Google Maps. In the Cold War days, that amount of detail could only be had from the most secret satellites and would been classified Top Secret.

Last time i went i got very lucky and scored off some bolivian lad who lived in the apartment next to where my g/f and i were staying. It was quite literally the strongest weed i have ever had. Dont know what it was, but even just half a joint knocked me for six. His place was full of coked up south americans though, was quite sketchy in hindsight.

Other times ive gone i just go up to the arab guys who sell beers out of cooler boxes, pretty much all them or their hangers on sold hash.

I honestly cant remember where it was in barca but im pretty sure it was somewhere in the barri hothic, there is a shop that soley sells reggae music & 'hippie' clothes. Maybe it helped that im a massive reggae fan so knew what i was talking about, but the very helpful rasta guys sorted me out a joint of some alright weed he had in his pocket. He said he could sort out a proper amount later in the evening, but was my last day so didnt take him up on that.

could be the reason why...pigs/guardias are genuine assholes in Spain, and I've never seen as much cops in Barça than anywhere.
