In fact, elders do smoke the flowers down there, but AFTER extraction.They mix the sieved remainings with local black tobacco, and toke all day in long fine neck pipes, with a terracota bowl, traditional style.Not very nice or tasty if you ask, but gets you remotely baked if you blaze all day .
I have tried to smoke kief plant, but removing tons of seeds is pretty lame...specially when ya got world class resin at hand

You can easily find some Morrocan genetics if you browse the seedbanks though.

Little story:

I frequent moroccan owned coffeeshop Kruidentuin(If you haven't been go there, really!)in Nijmegen since years on a regular base.
Some of those moroccan guys behind the counter smoke what seems to be kief every now and then during their shift in a traditional 'sebsi' as alpen rock pointed out.
Don't know if it's the real deal or dutch gruis/shake though. Always forget to ask.
Since I know some persian people importing Opium to the countries they're now living in importing kief seems to be not that absurd.
Tradition I'd say.

Yes, that's the name, Sebsi or Sibsi .
I know fr sure some Rif (middle aged) ppl bring back some kief fr their personal consumption from their yearly holidays...

same here with Qat (or Khat) with Somali/Yemeni ppl, large amounts are regularly seized in GVA airport, loads of this stuff in the UK also...social "drug" largely used in diverse negociations/agreements, just like Kif...

Back on topic:Rif elders often say that Hashish is for the fool and kief for the wise...

Well short Answer,you would not like to smoke it.They dont pull all males (they need seeds for next Years crop) and the Buds have many seeds and dont look nice.
They dont have nice light green Buds like you know.Their Buds are dark-green to brown
and its no high grade smoke.So they concentrate all the Resin into Hashich.

Of course its also Ilegal,even in Moroco... And smuggling Weed is no Money.The Space you need to smuggle 50 Gramms of Weed could also be used to put 1000 Gramms of Pressed Hasch in.Last Century was a Revolution against the French,and the Moroco King promised the Berber People in the Riff Valley that they can grow Weed forever when they help the King in War against French (the Riff-Revolt).Thats the Reason why the People in Riff Valley around Ketama can grow so much Plants even its officialy Ilegal But European Union spends Millions of Dollars each Year to pay the Morocon Government that they chop down the Weed Fields and it already started in some Areas in the Riff Valley.(think at it when you hear next time that another ship with refugees from north africa landed on that little italian island....)

You also can see the Plants from Vegetation to Harvest,and then all the Way from beating the Plants with sticks,sieving them,pressing them to bars.


Edit: In Jamaica they have a realy nice smoke now.Imported High Grade Seeds from Europe and Canada are growing there now since some years and the results are awesome !
