Current rate to buy Euro's in the Dam?

Post by cjcar »

Trying to figure out the best place to exchange my dollars for euro. So far my bank is giving me the best deal....

Can anyone tell me what the going, tourist rate, to buy Euro's in Amsterdam is? You know all those currency exchange places on the Damrak, what are they charging?

Or if you know any other location that gives a good deal?

Thanks

They generally make money by giving you a shit exchange rate expect about a 10% difference
They must find it difficult, those who have taken authority as truth, rather than truth as authority

No.... But I always like to have some cash.... I had an issue one time with all of my cards in my wallet were demagnetized, luckily it was back home and not while traveling... But it made me think? I would never want to get caught in that situation while away.....

So when I travel I use my debit card for withdrawals and cash. I bought Euro from my bank at home and got a much better deal than those cash changing places....

My goal is to spend them all before I leave... :D

What a difference a year made on the Euro!

I exchanged the exact amount of Euro's as I did last year at this time and spent approx $250 less...... Nice!

Putting together my plans for next months trip and WoW...... What a difference once again a year and half w Brexit makes on the exchange rate!

I'm hoping they don't raise prices (inflation) to try and even things out..... What do you think?
