Long weekend report.

This trip was being made with a good friend of mine (Joe) who had never been to Amsterdam before. I love going to amsterdam with a friend who's never experienced it.
We stepped out of central station around 16:30 on Thursdy 26th September. The weather was around 18c and the sky was blue. This was the theme for the weather until we left on Monday. We headed straight to our digs, where we were greeted by Fiona with a bowl of her personal stash. Greetings, a quick smoke from Fiona, bags dropped in the room and out we venture.
As it was Joe's first ever visit to Amsterdam (he only smokes now and again), he wanted to see a bit of the city straight away, so we walked a little bit to a coffeeshop for my first purchase. First stop Utopia for a fly and buy, I got 1g of buddha's sister. I had a great version of this from dampkring on a previous trip and wanted more. I walked us back towards the RLD for a beer. I thought it would be nice for him to get his first beer in the red light bar. I walked him via the windows around the old church, his eyes were popping out of his head.
We got to the bar and ordered our drinks, I rolled up and went for a smoke out back. On returning to him at one of the window seats he told me he only just processed everything he had just seen in the RLD, he couldn't get over it. I'd explained to him about Amsterdam many times before we arrived, however, I guess it's always mind blowing to see the coffeeshops and RLD for yourself for the first time. He wanted to smoke so we both went out the back room and rolled another. We played a game of pool, smoked and drank our beers. More weed was now needed.
A quick walk around the corner to the Greenplace. I Purchased 1g of OG Lemon and 1g of Silver Bubble. Joe got 1g of cheese. A very nice buying experience in here, I explained it was my friends first visit to the Dam, the bud tender was quite excited about this. He proceeded to show us a good few buds before we settled on our purchases. Off we march to the stones cafe for a beer, via the alleys of the RLD on our way.
Beers ordered. I got talking to the security guy in stones who i've know for about 10 years. He told me they got fined heavily around three weeks ago by the authorities for allowing dope smoking in the bar. There are no longer ashtrays anywhere in the bar. You can skin up inside but then have to head outside to the benches at the back entrance for a smoke. I was surprised how quiet it was in here, it always seemed to be quite full, but then again it was a Thursday night. We rolled a spliff of each weed and enjoyed heading in and out of the bar to smoke. There was an excellent varied selection of music playing which got us feeling great....or was that the good weed and beer? Maybe everything combined produced a lovely vibe. My favourite of the three starins purchased at Greenplace was Silver Bubble, lovey taste and stone. The OG lemon was certainly a different taste, of course lemony and piney. It was very dry though. The Cheese was that pungent deep smell, this seemed to be quite heavy on my body. It was called (something) cheese, can't remember the full name. After a few drinks/spliffs later we headed for chinese food.
Refuelled, we wandered around before settling on a drink in dirty nellies. This place smelled bad. Again we had to pop outside for a smoke. In here we got talking to a great group from New Zealand who were considering buying some weed. Some of them shared our joint outside with us, I couldn't believe how red this women's eyes went, she was absolutely fine after smoking but her eyes were red like the devils. We said goodbye and headed back to the lounge at our lodgings, where there was plenty of activity. We drank and smoked until we decided bed was calling.
Day two to come.................
