Soooooo I am feeling like promoting bitcoin a little bit :) obviously the less tech savvy members are probably not interested.

I would like to give away 10 USB miners to the first people that post back in this thread.

1 miner per person - I will meet you somewhere in Amsterdam to give you the device

please post here if you would like one

edit: please no 0 post accounts created today or after.

I have very little idea of what you are talking about BUT as a fan of the Kaiser report on RT I'd like to get into bitcoins and bitcoin mining. If he is right about the monetary system collapsing at some point in the future then I'm interested.

There is a device?
How much did you produce?

Well if you look at my Avatar you can see a picture of a USB device, this is just a little USB bitcoin miner. It has a ASIC micro chip, ASIC chips are designed for purpose. So basically this device cannot do anything else apart from mine sha-256 based cryptocoins. I really don't want to bore people with the crazy technical details right now.

Lets concentrate on just giving the devices out first :) questions can be posted and answered here over time

Just to say one of these device is never going to even mine 0.1BTC in it lifetime(so they are not going to make you rich), but it's just a little learning thing.

Enjoy the trojan/keylogger that comes with it folks...

May well be a genuine offer, just saying be careful with stuff like this.

Wow you have that little faith in humanity? Sometimes the attidues on this forum really are not what I expect from the laid back liberal cannabis community. A guy trys to do a nice thing and you spit in his face.... cheers!

No key liggers or trojans involved. You download the windows verified drivers and any software needed you download from the verified sources, any mining software I will recommend will be open source only.

edit: just to add all miners are in original boxes, new and unopened.

Not trying to offend eb, it's just common sense to be careful with stuff like this, there's a lot of efraud and etheft going around these days.

Dont worry smirks no real offence taken, I was going for dramatic effect with the spit in a guys face comment.
You are right though, you should always question and do research about what you are being offered.

So far we have 4 takers, one usb each.

as I said these are not going to mine you much btc, but they may help you learn about something new.

I'd like to plug one in and give it a try. Would be good to meet, too.

I'll be in town for cup week. Maybe we can get together then. Will PM you something more specific closer to the time. It might have to be a breakfast meet or my attention could wander.

cool, I will see you in a Month :) Don't worry I am going to write a user friendly guide on how to setup the device, so hopefully you learn some things along the way.

So 6 devices have been reserved, another 4 to go....
