Bong Cleaning

Post by AzLaker »

Marce, Some good Rubbing Alcohol (91%) and Kosher Salt. Pour in some salt then alcohol and shake well, maybe a minute or more, depending on how dirty. Works great for cleaning glass bowls too. I don't like a dirty bong, so I clean mine once a week. Hope that helps. AZLaker

i use a household cleaning product called "Simple Green" not sure if it available in the UK but if it is try that...i usually just soak my pipes in an undiluted bath of the concentrated "simple green" for about 18 hrs and then all the resin basically rinses out.

Marce, Rubbing Alcohol is Isoproply Accohol. You can find it in your local Drug store or Pharmacy. It's a disinfecant/first aid antiseptic. Kosher salt can be found where you buy spices at the grocery store. Hope that helps. AzLaker

You mean you're supposed to clean bongs???? just kidding...

...I soak mine overnight in soda crystals when it needs cleaning, works well on a ceramic bong like mine.

its one like that, the worst part to clean is the bit that the gauze sits in (which pulls out)

Marce, no problem. Just find something to cover-up the holes, add your salt and alcohol and shake like a mad man. Azlaker

help

Post by shibbycanada »

I just bought a new acrylic(don't know how its spelt) bong about a month ago. It smelt terrible and was incredibly dirty so i decidied to clean it. I tried to clean it by letting some rubbing alchol sit in it over night and scrubbing the sides of it with a toothbrush. now there is this crusty white residue left on the inside and it won't come off. Do you have any ideas of how to clean this disgusting substace off?

Sorry Shibbycanada but that was for glass bongs only, not acrylic. Alcohol will leave a film like you described. It sort of eats away at the plastic. Might look like crap, but I bet your bong is clean. AzLaker 8)
