Franco from Green House

Post by franco.gh »

Hi everybody,
I am really glad to be joining the Amsterdam Coffeeshop Forum.

So here I am:
smoker for recreational and medicinal reasons since 1989, grower since 1990, breeder and seed maker since 1999. I grew up in Italy, where I started growing outdoor and then indoor. Moved to Jamaica, Spain, UK, and then Holland.

Smoking has always been a way to balance my hyperactivity, and a great time with myself and the people around me.
Growing has always been the way to express something to the planet, sort of my mission in life.

Since 1999 I work with Arjan and the Green House, where I started as a dealer in the Coffeeshop and then moved on to the Seed Company. For 3 years (from 2001 to 2003) I have been Plant Manager at SIMM (Stichting Institute for Medical Marijuana), one of the two producers of medicinal cannabis for the Dutch government.
Now I take care of the production of the seeds for Green House Seed Company.

Cannabis is my Passion. And I never stop learning......

Looking forward to lots of posts....

Welcome Franco!
Congratulations on the shop's success! You guys seem to know how it's done. I was just watching that video where Arjan sold the first bobblehead doll to the Japanese guy for $5000 and you were jumping up and down in excitement - i thought you were funny. It's cool that you made it here mate! Welcome!
I miss that place so much.

Welcome aboard, sir. The more people we have here that have a clue, the better.

BTW, in October of 2005 I bought a gram of Neville's on Tolstraat and it was so strong I couldn't finish it over the course of about 12 hours. I don't know what it was about that batch, but that was the strongest weed I have ever smoked. I have smoked some Neville's from Tolstraat since and while it was still very good, it wasn't even close to this particular nugget I bought in 2005.

How often does it turn out that identical genetics yield something much stronger (or less strong....) than you expected?

Given identical genetics, what part of the process might affect it so much? Fertilization, cure, what?
