Coffeeshops in Barcelona?

My friend is going to be in Barcelona next month and is wondering if there are any coffeeshops or has bars there.

I've heard that pot smoking is very tolerated there, so I assume picking up some smoke won't be a problem, but he wants to know if there are any actual establishments that sell pot and hash.

I was there in 2004 and didn't see any or anyone smoking...and havent really heard this. Then again I was in a "clean from weed" phase at the time so I wasn't on the lookout.
