I don't agree with getting a new pet (dog) as soon as you lose one, I know everyone is different,

People say to me " why don't you get another dog" or " ain't you got a dog yet" NO just fuck off,wen we are ready one day in the future then we will.

I didn't feel it was right to replace Ebonnie as no other dog could ever do that, And if I got another dog it wouldn't be like Ebs and wouldn't be fair on the new dog.

I know each dog has there own character, but didn't just want to get a new dog........ maybe one day.....................

Ebonnie was a rescue dog, Abused at a young age. I think re homing a dog like this is very rewarding, I will never forget her.

I agree with boner, losing a child is something you could never ever get over but let me tell you that having a dog dying in your arms and having to make a decision and be GOD is the toughest thing I have ever had to do.

Yeah everyone is different dan, I know some folk who will never own another pet after losing one..
I was worried that if I left it for a long time I'd be one of those who wouldn't get another dog. I would have changed my views like having a clean hair free house, no dog hair on my jumpers and turn into a lazy twat by not going for 3/5mile walks.. Also i work from home and hated being alone, always looking to the left where he would lie on the floor and I couldn't do it...
I always wanted an EBT but felt it would stress brandy as he was terrortorial and after he took a stroke I thought why stress him out in his last months.. Well years...
Your right dan it's no ones business and tbh I lost it with folk who said the same thing to me a cpl of days later.. But I couldn't cope without him and when I seen rocco was up for rescue I decided I had to have him.. It doesn't matter if it's a dog, cat, guinea pig, hamster or mouse if your close to your pet they'll break your hearts when they've gone...
