My sister got one of those for Christmas.Nice camera, only thing I didn't like was that it felt cheaply made.Flimsy plastic.I bought my Mother a Fuji V10 for Christmas.Seeing printed photos side by side from both cameras, the Canon's looked better, but it was twice the price. They didn't look that much better.I liked the Fuji better because it has a 3" screenImage
and built in video games. It was also made of metal. It felt a lot sturdier, too.Poss problems are that it uses XD cards not SD.If you all ready own a camera and SD cards why switch, but if you don't own one yet than it's worth a thought( I have a Fuji S5200).It's a cool little camera, size of a deck of cards. It cost about $160.I'm going to buy myself one soon.I want a camera I can carry in my pocket.Worth a look at least. It all comes down to your budget and what you want out of your cameras.Everyone that sees my Mom's camera comments on its looks. It comes in an Orange color too,so you will fit in on Queens Day.http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epa ... Took a look at the Fuji's on a website for B&H camera out of NY. The video game aspect isn't something I need and they have a Canon 10.1MP listed at $379.95.

I think I'd have to go for the 10.1 at that price.

Guys don't fall into the megapixel trap - more doesn't always mean better, often squeezing that many pixels onto a small sensor results in terrible noise (grain), colour fringing and visibly inferior results to a good 5meg like the Canon G5 from a few years back. That will kick the arse of the new G7, especially as the newer one lacks RAW file capture, bizarrely. I've seen the results from both and it's not progress. The 800IS that I suggested is 7 meg, quite enough for anyone. A3 prints and bigger are possible with ease.

When the camera manufacturers start to produce bigger sensors in compacts, like the more costly SLR's, then more pixels will be a good thing.

Also, the Fuji F30 comes highly recommended for a lower-cost option, just to prove I don't work for Canon!

I get your point Tall Guy. I wasn't planning on buying anything until I went out to the local stores to try the ones I'm interested in and can compare the results. Then I'll look for the best price on what I decide to buy.
