I booked my stay through airbnb. You can both find rooms and entire apartments and theres lots places that lets you smoke inside or on a balcony. I've got a nice wooden attic room where I can sip my spliffs inside or on the roof terrasse.

Other than that I considered Alp Hotel, which has a room with jacuzzi and a balcony or Atlantis Hotel, which also has some rooms with a balcony... I would have loved to try Amsterdam Cribz, but they were both sold out and fits 4 ppl. (But it does have bongs, pipes, papers and stuff ready for you)

The Atlantis and its balconies are lovely. And apparently you get fined if you don't smoke on them:

A day of good news.
I can stay an extra day, I was able to cancel previous booking without penalty, have booked an apartment and its a few mins walk from 1e for a a little over 200 couple euros.
For all the benefits of an apartment, I think its worth the investment.
I rolled two spliffs, so I guess I'm double jointed

I love the idea of making sure you have a full ash tray as a way of avoiding a fine
:)
Atlantis looks a good bet for a one solo one night stay later in the year
