Dam busking?

Anyone have any experience busking in the Dam? Or know what the rules are?

I'm not really under the radar when I busk, I travel with a battery powered amp- someone performing electric is a target for cops- they always say it attracts extra noise and disruption.

I'm curious if I just turn up and start playing what kind of trouble I might run into - either from other buskers, businesses, tourists or law enforcement.

Thanks for the links. In part 2 of the "survival guide" link, it says

it is definitely worth looking to apply for a permit. The rules have changed a lot now, and they only give 10 out, give you a set time to play, and give you 3 chances to get a warning. There is only a window of a few weeks to get the permit, and that is the first 2 weeks of February. It will cost you 50 euroes and some photos, but is a good investment for the summer.

10 permits? Rather small opening, no?

The buskers I've seen around town have generally been very good. Generally I stay to watch, listen. Perhaps stop for a raw herring sandwich and have dinner with a show.
Always give a euro or two as long as I enjoy the music/performance. Probably quite a lucrative endeavour if the weather is decent.
