Disclaimer: The following is my opinion, not, I REPEAT - NOT directed at any individual, so don't shark/troll/bully me because of differing opinions.
Don't like my opinion, either move on or... respond with forethought sprinkled with a little respect. Thank you...

Amsterdam Vs. Denver: All Weed Aside, Which City Is Better?
A little more than 2 years ago, I (and a few others in their own way) directed stoners to the writing on the wall... and now we are getting a taste.
Here come the endless comparisons, although some began when the laws were changed. Ego perhaps? ... or a feeling of inadequacy? Why else compare?
Why not Portland, Maine, the city that recently legalized? What about the other break-out cities that have done the same, however leave cannabis aside? Why?
Too easy - EGO, and hype... can't forget the hype.
Seems the peeps in Washington are in a total chill mode, no surprise there when comparing the ego's of both state's residents. True, it just is...
So, do we really need to go on about which city is better, all weed aside? How about all egos aside?
Denver is Denver... with a controversial shaped airport... think Swastika... and it wasn't a mistake, just ask the Adolph Coors Family.
Not all is green grass and high tides. Best be prepared to put it all on the table.
Well then, which city is better, all weed aside?
Not even a close comparison, all weed aside.
Amsterdam... there could never be a worthy comparison. Any would be pointless, it simply would.
Happy Ego trippin...
...

UR

these are articles that are being printed and shared. AND it IS kind of cool that finally weed is actually LEGAL to smoke in the USA.

don't like it? Don't read them. Don't want your EGO to get bruised after all.

why not focus on other cities you ask?? BECAUSE Colorado is THE ONLY place where ANYONE can go and purchase weed without reprisal in the USA.

btw….the edibles are amazing in colorado. : >

and none of this is about EGO - it is about pure excitement and joy. get over yourself.

Funny how none of the folks talking shit about Denver have never been or not been since legalization...
I for one have been to both cities and to me comparing them is like apples to oranges...
I love Amsterdam and have spent more than 100 days exploring the city but will probably never go back again now that we have legalized.
The main reason for this is the costs. For half of the cost of the airfare to AMS I can fly to Denver and have 7 nights in a hotel! Plus it's a 2 hour flight versus 16 hours to AMS.
No more 3euros for a 10oz soda with no ice, no more money exchanges ripping you off, and I can understand everyone.
The edibles from Denver blow away Amsterdam's. The weed in Denver is grown by the shop all chemicals used are listed along with THC %.

So, In closing weed and edibles in Denver way better, hash is about even as in Denver you can't get exotic hashes like AMS but the hash that Denver produces is way more pure and strong...
Like someone already stated the only thing missing is the coffee shops.
DENVER all the way but still love Amsterdam and miss you a lot girl but it's goodbye..

and canals, and the neon lights shimmering off the canals at night, and the beautiful sound of the church bell ringing from Oude Kerk across the RLD, hookers in kamers, old cobblestone streets, medieval architecture and general European ambiance, giant french fries served with a little cup of mayonnaise, etc, and etc and etc.

Other than that, the only thing missing in Denver are the coffeeshops.

There is a whole class, and generation of smokers who always wanted to go to Amsterdam and never did. Denver is a much more realistic option for many. Clearly the goal is to cash in via tax instead of miss out on this broad new opertunity. Entrepuniers go into government now because socialism so widely accepted.
You all think your all excited abot weed being legal, but since we all were able to aford visits to Amsterdam I'm going o guess none of us are in the class that's in the streets for weed and we all enjoy smoking comfortably in privacy and safety of own home.... What your actually exited about is the availability of better product due to open competition....

I bought a bag. Smoked a bowl, and relaxed. We've all done this how often for how long?.... And yet we have to rejoice because the same fucks who fucked ya, now give me permission? Fuck that. They will take care of you from cradle to grave ;) Governments do not learn. People learn.

And the coke, ecstasy, heroin dealers openly selling/harassing as you walk around town, and 3 euro mini drinks, and the teeny tiny way overpriced hotel rooms, and the stairs, and dealers ripping you off through short changing, and short bags, pick pockets....I could also go on..

Again, I love Amsterdam but cost wise I can have just as much fun in Colorado as I can have in Amsterdam but for a quarter of the cost which equates to more trips each year!

Also not taking this personal as you seem to be buddy so I'm done on the subject, hope Amsterdam stays cool and Denver is the start of a revolution go USA!

Some just couldn't resist... thank you very much for you kind words, really...
I've traveled around the world, seen many beautiful places, and met some wonderful and amazing people, until I came here...
What is there to say about a place like this, the internet forum where people.......... oh what's the use, ignorance wins out once again.
Wallow in its blissfulness, some have earned it...

I tire of stoner cowards, way past time that I move on.
Before I go, I'll leave this lasting thought to those who are most deserving...
...it's a small world.

... and Zippy are out.
