If you've been charged with something then im pretty sure the US immigration would not let you through - or so i understand anyway

if you have a conviction which qualifies you as what the US legal system would consider a felon you are out of luck.
How much did you produce?

Read this if you have DUI, drug conviction or a crime of moral turpitude, chances of entry are slim to none....arrests are a little different than actual convictions, but only slightly, most are deemed the same as if you were actually found guilty even if charges were dismissed or suspended by the court.

https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/736

Bad news is, even if you had a prior conviction erased in your home country, the US dont give a shit, youre still lacking in morals and hence not permitted entry.

It can be expensive to gain access through the appeal and waiver system, expect costs and fees to go as high as $500-600 us just to apply with no guarantee of entry. Plus if you get a waiver, its only good for 12 months, then you reapply for a 2nd term, this time 5 years, and pay the same fees to go through the process again.

I woukd suggest not visiting colorado or washington on your first 12 month waiver, becuas those travels will be reviewed extensively on your renewal application. Also, it could potentially cause headaches and questions at customs entry. If they think youre coming for drugs, regardless of the current status in those states, the immigration officer only sees "drugs" vacation and could send you home immediately.

Just because pot is legal in those states to non residents, doesnt mean the federal services are taking a different approach at customs, they arent, it still a war on drugs at every cross border and entry point into US.

It may sound extreme, but this is the way border services operate with non-usa citizens, they take it to the extreme to protect the homeland.

Speaking from extensive experience on this, lots and lots of bs and time spent....

I guess he thinks people wouldn't challenge his absurd posting and snide arrogance IRL.

Those condescending invitations to do a ' little light reading ' appear not to have paid dividends in bumping up ones popularity . No surprises there , then .

not really invalid at all. you would have a problem entering this country, irregardless of weed laws. The legality of pot is not the issue, your run ins with the law are the issue, making you invalid.

I hope he means you're the stoner coward. Every post by UR is sure to be followed up with some kind of sheepish comment by you. The fact that he asks not to be trolled, then people (you more than anyone) jump on him for such things is kinda comical to me. So easily baited into You more than anyone take time out to attempt to attack him. Its really old, and been going on for some time. I am going to guess you are threatened by his broad views and understand of cultures around world, something you strive for, but I have yet to ever see shine through.

This isnt a post to stick up for UR in all his New England goofyness, but rather a laugh in your face. Tolerance only applies to people of skin color in your liberal world perhaps? Weed is legal everywhere for those who are their own authority, so if anyone is dumb and needs to get over themselves, its you.
